FRIEND OF THE WEEK: 11 QUESTIONSWEBSITE: KELLEYLMOOREINSTAGRAM: @KELLEYMOOREFACEBOOK: @KELLEYMOORE

1. Nickname: Kel Bel2. What’s your short story? Social worker, turned event planner, transformed into a National Lifestyle & Entertaining Expert, who became an author who created a multi-media company, and landed in a small town surrounded by the best wine makers, restaurateurs, and artists, and opening an Interior & Event design company very soon.3. What’s your jam? “Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield4. What motivates you? "Sometimes the future changes quickly and completely. And we're left only with the choice of what to do next. We can choose to be afraid of it, to stand there trembling, not moving, assuming the worst that can happen. Or we step forward into the unknown and assume it will be brilliant." – Cristina Yang, Grey's Anatomy My friends are my mentors. They know me well and give me the best advice even if I don’t want to hear it.5. Who do you think you’d have great friend chemistry with? Julia Roberts or Rebel Wilson. They are both funny, authentic, and appear to be so comfortable in their skin. I think we would have a great dinner party!6. What qualities do your favorite friends have in common? Creative careers, entrepreneurial, great sense of humor, giving to others, and an appreciation of good food and wine.7. What’s the smartest, most inspiring, awesome thing you’ve read, watched, or listened to? This may be completely cheesy, but the movie Eat, Pray, Love. I own it, and whenever I seem a little lost in life I turn it on. It inspires me to be adventurous, it reminds me to stop and appreciate the small moments in life and the simple beauty that surrounds us, and that it is never too late to shake things up in life. From that comes a quote that inspires me:"If you are brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting (which can be anything from your house to your bitter old resentments) and set out on a truth-seeking journey (either externally or internally), and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher, and if you are prepared – most of all – to face (and forgive) some very difficult realities about yourself... then truth will not be withheld from you.”8. What whets your appetite? A delicious Bolognese, and a glass of Barbera.9. What’s next on your To Do List? I am starting to remodel my new 1905 Dutch Colonial house in Walla Walla, Washington. I need a lot of help, so if you are a carpenter give me a call!10. How are you friends with Gina + Amy? I met Gina and Amy when I joined the team at Joyus. They are two of a small group of women that were the best thing that came out of San Francisco for me. The first time I connected with Gina, and knew we would be fast friends, she was trying on a huge pile of Christian Louboutin shoes and all I could think while I watched her was “if only I wore the same shoe size.” She became a mentor to me, someone I trusted, and a friend. Amy’s energy is infectious (that southern charm). She was my go to friend for lunches and pedicures…and a good stiff cocktail – which was necessary at times. More than that, she gave great advice and respected what I had accomplished in my career. Together Amy + Gina were always a team you wanted to be around, and I still do.11. Who would you nominate for our next Friend of the Week? Mikaela South. She is one of the most ethereal people I have met. Gentle soul, fierce makeup artist, and a good friend. She is my spirit animal. I admire her genuine connection to her spirit, and the world around her.
